The Faith Ring was born from the idea of revisiting an ancient model in a contemporary way. Traditionally, a “bague de fede”, an engagement ring symbolised at the time by two hands holding a heart, would be given in honour of a wedding engagement or at the signing of a contract. This “ring of trust” symbolised the guarantee of an equal contract, respected by both parties.
In my version, the two arms of the ring are holding a heart which is represented by a center stone. The traditional symbols are still there, but they are displayed in a contemporary way.
A lot of people choose this as an engagement ring,
but it is above all a mount that really highlights the centre stone. It puts the main focus of the piece on the beautiful material that has been chosen to adorn it.
